Symptoms
Interveinal chlorosis with sharply boardered green veins. Symptoms occur on mature leaves first. Severely affected leaves also show whitish to light brown spots on the leaf blade, accompanied by marginal necrosis. Plants grown in the field may show a more distinct reddish interveinal discolouration.

Reasons
Magnesium deficiency K and Mg deficiency both cause interveinal chlorosis. With Mg deficiency the green leaf veins are well-defined against the chlorotic tissue whereas with K deficiency the color gradient is rather diffuse.
