Welcome to Yara
The name ‘Yara’ represents a good harvest and a good year

Program Suggestions Rates of application of YaraLiva™ products range from ½ to 3 pounds of nitrogen/tree/year depending on tree age, yield history, current fruit set, severity or pruning and local soil/climate conditions. Based on University recommendations and grower practice, the lower rates are for young trees and the higher rates for mature, bearing trees.
Split-application advantages Many growers split-apply YaraLiva™ Tropicote™, supplying half of their nitrogen before bud swell. Then, after estimating potential fruiting, they come back with the other half at petal fall or when it has been determined a full crop is set. This 2-step program feeds the tree after it resumes growth in the spring with sufficient available nitrogen to support the potential crop. If bloom and/or fruit set is low or the tree is excessively vigorous, the second split of nitrogen can be reduced or eliminated. Such N-control flexibility is not obtained with a single application or a residual ammonium form of N in later winter or early spring.
Post-harvest applications Progressive peach, nectarine, and plum growers have designed their fertility programs to take advantage of more recent research which shows that nitrogen accumulation occurs as long as healthy leaves are on the tree. Thus, post-harvest applications of nitrate nitrogen have proven to be beneficial in building the tree's N-reserve to support the spring flush without stimulating late re-growth.
Soil and tissue testing Soil and tissue analysis are vital elements in a sound fertility program. The experienced grower will also evaluate tree age, size, vigor and yield history when designing fertility management. YaraLiva™ calcium nitrate based fertilizers are the production tool that provide both nitrate nitrogen and water-soluble calcium – nutrients demonstrated effective by research and long-term orchard use.
