Program Suggestions:
Calcium in tubers may be inadequate even in high calcium soils.
A 400 CWT crop will remove in tubers and vines:
310 lbs. Nitrogen*
78 lbs. Phosphate
560 lbs. Potash
50 lbs. Calcium

Sidedress (topdress) dry or liquid:
YaraLivaTM TropicoteTM or CN-9® are intended as a source of supplemental nitrogen and caclium for potatoes. For optimum fertilizer efficiency and crop response, apply TropicoteTM during bulking banded along the row or broadcast. If you use liquid applications, use YaraLivaTM CN-9® by metering the solution into irrigation water or via ground equipment fitted with flood nozzles.
Rate of Application:
Successful growers have hused 350-700 lbs. of TropicoteTM per acre applied at bulking. Rates will vary depending on the total nitrogen program and soil analysis.
Remember: With YaraLivaTM you can provide fast-acting nitrate nitrogen and maximum soluble calcium at the same time. For every pound of nitrogen, you also get 1.2 pounds of calcium.
